Life is just a fantasy, can you live this fantasy life (Aldo Nova)Looks like FV3 is gonna have another fantasy storm, which means nothing.... man this winter

Bleaklies: we all tie for the win or loss since we all guessed the hottest wx in history for every bleak. The actuals were meh. The N Pac block goes away bleak 3 and do does the -PNA...yay.
Temperatures;
Bleak 3: near normal
Bleak 4: slightly colder than normal
Bleaks 5-6: near to slightly warmer than normal
April 1987 FTW!!!!Bleaklies: we all tie for the win or loss since we all guessed the hottest wx in history for every bleak. The actuals were meh. The N Pac block goes away bleak 3 and so does the -PNA...yay.

One of these years the NAO is actually going to go negative in winter instead of April through October.Its gonna happen, no doubt. If I were a betting man, Id bet the house.
-NAO, +PNA, -EPO, -AO, MJO absolutely stuck inside the COD at 8, El Nino, clouds covering the globe, no sunspots for a year, the EURO and GFS and FV3 all in alignment, Tony having worms and gophers ... we can have everything but ... /// ... it'll happen when Ol' Ma Nature says it's time ... 'till then ... here's to the next run of some model ...One of these years the NAO is actually going to go negative in winter instead of April through October.
What kind of model are you talking about?-NAO, +PNA, -EPO, -AO, MJO absolutely stuck inside the COD at 8, El Nino, clouds covering the globe, the EURO and GFS and FV3 all in alignment, Tony having worms and gophers ... we can have everything but ... /// ... it'll happen when Ol' Ma Nature says it's time ... The kind that gives folks an IMBY perspective ...What kind of model are you talking about?

We each get our turn.

... and if anywhere in the SE had that, the next year there would be rampant bitchin' that it wasn't happening again ...I find it incredible that a city that averages around 6" had a winter in 1968-69 where they had 67.5" of snow ! I'm talking about Seattle.
December is the new snow month in the south, so i'm sure Raleigh will get some snow next December.I'm starting to wonder if RDU will go all of 2019 without a single snowflake at all. After the epic December storm we've had none at all so far, and none is in sight. March and December often have no snow at all. I'd say it has at least a 30% chance of happening. Fairly disappointing for what was hyped up to be an epic winter. Our "most below average" February is going great, we hit 79F today...![]()
I highly doubt that. We went all the way from 1959 to 2018 without a single 2"+ event before Christmas. We got absolutely screwed in the December 2017 storm when we had 33 degree rain. I'm willing to guess December will be mostly snowless for us for several years to come based on climatological history.December is the new snow month in the south, so i'm sure Raleigh will get some snow next December.
That would certainly be impressive. I honestly believe we get something by mid March. If we don't i could see 0 for 2019 I think next december is warm.I'm starting to wonder if RDU will go all of 2019 without a single snowflake at all. My air went out today. Heat pump. It comes on, but it doesn’t blow out of the vent with any force. Both the heat setting and air setting does the same. A little bit of air comes out but not much. Ug. At least it’s not too hot or cold. I wonder if it’s like a capacitor or something?
Yeah, it seems to be. I turned it off for a couple hours and turned it back on. Now it’s blowing properly. I’m thinking maybe low on refrigerant?Is your fan working?

Share with your weather weenie friends,They got that morphine drip turned up too high again!
And get out of the hospital, dude!
Can be a capacitor, getting stuck in on position, had that happen before. Most likely need Freon topoff, or just a service and coil cleaning!? Should be able to get a pre season special maybe!?My air went out today. Heat pump. It comes on, but it doesn’t blow out of the vent with any force.
