Headed to Harrahs Cherokee tomorrow evening to surrender my hard earned money to the Indians. I never thought when I booked this trip a month ago that it would be 73 degrees on top of the mountain. I feel bamboozled

Weird as the almanacs I've looked at were all in on it mostly being warm even back in mid December. It's borderline hilarity, as that's going to be what's right and everyone else is going to be wrong. Although there's the old adage of a broken clock is right twice a day and a blind squirrel will find a nut every once in a while.

The Euro tonight will probably show a raging ice storm just to get everyone’s hope up.
Wish it could stay warm, at least I don’t have to think about winter wx and not get let down
I’ll tell them that snow used to fire up in Dallas TX and slide due East but then Brent put a goober hex on all of us so now it just rains. You will be the villain during story time when we are on the front porch swing applying sunscreen in mid January 2050

Not even close. I have had multiple 33 degree rains this season already. Unfortunately it happens a few times every year up here.

The very same areas in TN that are getting heavy rain tonight may, unfortunately, get another heavy rain event Mon-Tues next week. I hope this is not becoming a trend or pattern developing, or else this spring we could be looking at another 2011 type flooding event.

Well now that the FV3 busted epically I think it’s safe to say winter is pretty much over. Euro through 10 days is horrendous for snow chances. Not a single day in the 10 days with the 850s below 0C. Of course we all know we will get epic blocking just in time to ruin our spring and severe weather chances.

Winter has been over since January yeah we had this little ole polar vortex to bring us some temporary cold air and let's not forget about the flurries or a dusting of snow for some over the deep South besides the December storm that happen early while it was still in fall winter truly never started... The global models has consistently been trash no matter how many times it shows a winter fantasy storm 98.9 percent of the time it never verified... As for as Joe bastardi I respect his long range meteorological input but let's face it he just beyond busted badly since August of last year... We have all this technology out here and yet we can't even get the majority of the global models right... Don't take my word for it I'm not as smart when it comes to weather than most of you guys here... I'm just a snow weenie who loves winter carry on

Ah yes. The cold biased NAM showing ice for the 9th time this winter from a dying CAD. Not happening.
It really is discouraging after all the talk of an epic winter and all the models showing as much if not more fantasy storms then in recent memory anyway and by fantasy I mean around 10 days. Just seems like when models and their ensembles used to show a threat even that far out, you could count on something.......oh well, we always have March Lol.
And this weather sucks, went outside yesterday when I got off work, felt something biting my leg, killed 3 mosquitoes with one swat they were so thick..... it's going to be a long long long summer
Well the MA folks on the other board dont seem too upset, and since NC is not far from the MA maybe there's still some hope ?
