Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

The moderation has become much more heavy handed, and there is no clear definition as to what is considered banter. It is confusing to see some posts moved to banter and some not that I would consider banter as well. Why would I want to try to participate in the January thread if I think my post might be moved to the banter thread? I could just post in the banter thread all the time, but that is not how I always want to participate in the discussion of the actual pattern or storm threats. It is frustrating and confusing. and I don't see really any consistency in what is considered banter and what isn't. If this is the way it is going to be there needs to be a clear cut definition of what goes in the banter thread.

I think it just depends on the site traffic and flow of the conversation at the moment. I had a thing or two moved or deleted today but it’s no sweat. I’m sometimes guilty

So you are saying it’s not the end of the world if a post is moved or deleted. If only others would take that approach.

What’s so bad about a post getting moved in the banter section ???? I spend more time in this section then rest of the website. And, I also enjoy posting in here just to be honest. It’s a free for all don’t have to worry about it being delete and also you can be funny, complain or etc. I think the post has a bigger chance of being read and liked in here. So just lay back and relax it’s going to be ok.

Come on man. It’s just weather forums it really is not that serious. Sometimes I don’t post when I think I can’t add anything to the discussion. I’ve gone days without posting before. It’s not that hard. Don’t always feel the need to say something, especially if it keeps getting moved, you’re clearly doing something wrong. Stop with the woe is me crap, it’s silly.

Also, at least these mods don’t ban you as a “joke” then you have to contact the admin to get unbanned, and the mod is still active (like on amwx). These mods are freaking awesome and if it was up to me I’d move a hell of a lot more posts out of the January thread. They are lenient here.
 
I love how we’re all creaming ourselves over a 240 hour run and Webber/1300 come into the thread talking about ice map revisions from last weekend lmao
