Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

Good example of a mini MCS lasting longer than modeled currently in KY/TN, we will have better thermodynamics with our MCS/outflow tommorow in certain areas

Local met here in Central NC said a disturbance would ride the NW flow and give NE NC and SE VA a chance for some severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and into tonight. Have to take the bad with the good, we need the rain.

One of the few Mets wins this season came off of their pitcher hitting a home run, the only run in the game, against the Cincinnati Reds. Sorry Reds, Pete Rose, Eric Davis, Barry Larkin are not going to walk through that building and suit up.

Yep, now let's see what they can do... Question on everyone's mind is .... where do you put him?
They were discussing it on 92.9 the game this morning which is a local sports station here. More than likely he would stay in left field but either way if he keeps swinging the bat like that he needs to stay in the lineup.

Finally got around to finishing my analysis of that ridiculously snowy winter of 1947-48 in the northern coastal plain of NC in/around @metwannabe & @snowlover91 . Even though most of us got smashed, Nash County was the big winner w/ 36". There was a gigantic seasonal gradient between the southeast coast and the I-95 corridor.

After this winter, our snowfall fell off the rails for most of the 1950s minus a few bright spots like Jan 1955. The following several winters combined from 1948-49 thru 1954-55 didn't produce as much snow across NC as 1947-48 did.

I fear when this flips (and it will eventually) the cause is gonna be tropical (clouds and rain and ------ - bad wind) ...

Thinking about switching to Cricket Wireless. Anybody use them? I know they’re a subsidiary of AT&T, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience. I’m finally going to have to ditch my 2006 LG flip phone. It really sucks. But such is life. Cricket has a Galaxy S9 pretty cheap. And they have decent deals on unlimited plans.
