Though day 12. It almost has to snow now
Temps are always a problem. That is one constant you can always count on. Models are almost always too cold. Snowstorms with temps in the low 20s don’t exist.

Yep, in about 12 days winter is over. -PNA, big low over AK, w-AR. Should take a few weeks to shake that. Mid-March we cool back down for some 45F rains.
Clearly this is just bad data ingestion. That op GFS run tainted this GEFS run.
This. If it's showing temps below 30 ptype instantly equals sleet.
We’re going to see a big dog on the Euro within the next 4 runs. Bank it.

I remember this one storm I correctly identified the potential of ten days out as a young kid in college. Have thought I was some kind of weather hero ever since until today's 12z runs ruined me forever.

ATL is right where we need to be this far out, definitely don’t want to be in the jackpot right now, watch the NW trend and we will be sitting pretty.

Maybe, we have a few more days so I’m sure things will change 100 more times, thankfully I have family north,east,south and west so I can see snow if I really want to.

Unless the phasing starts earlier, this might be one where there is no NW trend.
Wait.
It would definitely be good for areas that have been shutout for a few years if this were to verify somehow.

Any recommendations? Should I wait for the 18z runs and then reevaluate my self-worth again?
I often wonder what the '93 storm would have been like if it happened in late Jan/early Feb. If it didn't happen so late in the season. If it had a good snow pack to the north and a stronger connection to the arctic. I bet the snow would have been around a month instead of a week or so. I know I should be glad it didn't, it probable would have been more devastating. Am I crazy for wanting that to happen in the deep south?
