Light snow has just stated here in Dahlonega, GA

Rgem holds tough with the wedge has all sleet and ice damn near to the coast for the entire event....RGEM has held steady for I dont know how many runs now. I think we're gonna be 90% snow and 10% sleet here. We'll see.
I hope so, that would mean we would hold the same.I got feeling ATL won't change to Freezing Rain. Probably sleet is the story for ATL for the changeover.
Let’s hope that holds because this looks ugly locally. Not to mention the rain line being depicted edging into Mecklenburg County.Doesn’t even have clt get precip until 5p but the dry areas east of Augusta it shows with nothing until 10a already reporting sleet
The wedge is strong, can you imagine if we had a high funneling in fresh supply of cold/dry air. Geez what could've beenRgem holds tough with the wedge has all sleet and ice damn near to the coast for the entire event....
I hope you are seeing snow outside your window this morning. You been a fretting this one for several days.I got feeling ATL won't change to Freezing Rain. Probably sleet is the story for ATL for the changeover.
Yep but I can't enjoy it man knowing the freezing rain potential coming I hate freezing rain. It scares me...praying for more sleet man...any new updates as far as short model forecast?I hope you are seeing snow outside your window this morning. You been a fretting this one for several days.
As of last night, no model had Augusta getting precip until around 11am. The sleet started here around 7am. Not sure how that will translate to other areas but there is definitely a band of precip down the I-20 corridor that is overperforming.Doesn’t even have clt get precip until 5p but the dry areas east of Augusta it shows with nothing until 10a already reporting sleet
Was coming here to post the same thing from my house. Channel 2 has a reporter at Exit 14 (Ga. 400) and it’s starting to come down good there.Light sleet and snow is beginning here in N Forsyth
Bonus for you for the actual snow line to get that far south. I used to live down there off the Eagles Landing exit.Mcdonough GA and still coming down....didnt take long to get to this point in the pic:

All of Wake County is crossing their fingers and toes that the RGEM verifies.Yeah those in house graph models were similar. The NWS said they also favored the RGEM and colder models vs the NAM.
That’s where I’m at, guess I better get out of bedWas coming here to post the same thing from my house. Channel 2 has a reporter at Exit 14 (Ga. 400) and it’s starting to come down good there.
