Should make for an interesting day tomorrow

Going to be a wild day with the wind. Wouldn't be shocking to see a high wind warning up your way. With 925-850mb winds of 55-75kt when we start mixing tomorrow we should get some 50kt gusts during the late morning to mid afternoon.

Winding up here now. We now have 65 mph gust in the forecast tomorrow. Should be pretty wild if we get mixing. We have had some warning events that did not really happen because the inversion stayed to high but this seems like it is already rolling pretty good.

Already some peak wind gust around 45 with a few thousand across the state already without power... I think this is the real deal.

Stay safe gonna be a wild ride for you today, 65 mph wind gust ain't no joke

No it's not.
Stay safe (and away from trees if you can) ... :(

Does anyone have the link to where to find this graphic below on the weather.gov site? Maybe it's on another website? I have looked and looked for it but have not been able to find it. I found the forecast minimum and maximum snow amount graphics on there but have not been able to find this one. Any help would be appreciated.

Rah NWS strongest wind gust thus far today and they were right imby, also interesting it was around 7:30 am and nothing that strong since thankfully

...Halifax County...
Halifax-northampton Regional 53 MPH 0720 AM 03/02
1 WSW Rosemary 53 MPH 0740 AM 03/02
1 SW Rosemary 53 MPH 0740 AM 03/0

I think thats too cold even for Phil.
Appreciate you thinking of me, but Nope, I'll take cold (or cool depending on your perspective) any day of the year. Heck, if it wasn't the result of some apocalypse, like a meteor strike, I'd be perfectly happy seeing frost on the 4th of July ...
Best!
Phil

The next two weeks is a pretty good pattern for the northeast

I guess it will be a marvelous March for you if you can get up there in time. No snow here but the temps will be nice...

Man winter won’t go away in Europe. Lucky them

Yeah but 50s and 60s are great in March for the SE. These below normal temps are nothing to sneeze at unless you are looking for snow. But there’s still time for that to change I guess.

Those days are gone. Unless we move to Europe or live on a ship out in the Pacific

I keep thinking we will get one more winter weather system (at least minor) to track before the season is over, but I'm beginning to wonder. I just want one more 30 second flizzard, just enough to bid farewell to winter 2018

I agree I’m loving the cooler weather and even Cooler weather next week . But Europe has been locked in for a few weeks. They are getting the real cold stuff and the snow

They always seem the benefactors from a lot of the SSW PV splits. Seldom does Europe or Eurasia strike out. North America on the other hand....

I honestly thought they just had good “ dumb luck “ the past few winters. But you’re right, the always seem to benefit from a ssw or a PV split . Would be interesting to see someone do research on the topic

Jon,
Notwithstanding, the prospects for BN cool air for the next several days is a blessing  ... Now, if there were only an OTC stronger than Claratin that would take care of this nasty N FL pollen ... :(
Hey, Man!
Best,
Phil
