Well Gang, I think the Euro is right...2 to 3 inches is not out of the question for Atlanta. Everything is official white...including the roads!

I SO need to go to bed, but it's getting good in my neck of the woods. Bigger flakes, really coming down steady, temps at 21 and roads are starting to get covered. And looking at radar back into Alabama, I wouldn't be shocked if there are flakes falling when my alarm goes of in four hours.

19F at Dobbins in Marietta with moderate snow. I can't really get an accurate measurement being in a heavy wooded area but somewhere between a half and an inch seems where we're at right now.

I have about a tenth of an inch of ice build up on my deck here just west of p'cola. I'm afraid the roads are gonna be quite awful here at daybreak.

Yeah everything is white here. Coming down hard, though flakes are tiny, but it's def accumulating...the heaviest still won't come for another couple of hours or so based on HRRR....2-3 inches def not out of the question here.

HRRR continues to look great for much of Georgia and southern AL. Has a moderate to heavy snowband here at 18-19 degrees! at hour 4. Ratios have to be incredible.

Here's snow totals using 10:1 ratios(keep in mind ratios are already better than 10:1 for much of the area) at hour 8.

What an incredible winter. Gonna have Eric and Larry digging and clawing to find one with two storms like this, along with the Bomb. And we are still in January.
