We are going to have a sick sleet/ice/snow pack to our north heading into this timeframe. With a sick pattern still in place. In theory, you could get snow much deeper than the immediate gulf

To be dead solid honest, this was the time period that looked most interesting to me. Originally, the Euro AI kept hitting on Jan 28 or so, then we flipped to our baja debacle and lost the Jan 28 time period. But this time period at the end of Jan is when the Greenland block is retrograding into Hudson Bay and pressing the heights over the Lakes south…while simultaneously, the Pac Jet is extending and sending waviness thru the western ridging and into the conus. This can work. We’ll see how it goes

Max snowfall is ~26" around Moyock, NC, so that checks out.
Anyone have the Kuchera map for this?
It's fairly similar, it just is longer duration than 24 hours for the region and I didn't want to do the total snow since that would be infected by this weekend's system. Kuchera snow for RDU is 17-18".
We’ve seen numerous fantasyland mega-huge snowstorms on the various models in the past over the years. But when was the last time the Euro, GFS, and the Canadian all had a snowstorm with modern record breaking amounts in some places within the exact same 24 hour period out at day 10? I don’t recall ever seeing it til now:
