Idk honestly, while we're overdue for one of our gold standard type ice storms (not that I want it), we've had a tendency for those to appear on the models and then not stick.
The Euro had my attention for the consistency of showing it, but it's one 30 mile shift away from not being a thing.

If the euro plays out similar to the 18z. I’m going to almost solely switch to BAM. He was 100 percent on it before the models were. Anyone else catching on to that?

They were off on their early January forecast temps by as much as 7 degrees.
He's likely following orders by upper management. He probably feels like crap, but has to play the "corporate role" to maintain a gig.

I don’t like the dude but he appears to be on this like white on rice. I think general emotions from the south to the north getting everything fog up our judgement. Even if he was off by 7 in January he’s got this and literally none of the other big dogs including the nws did. Credit where it’s due.

One thing I think the gfs does a better job than the euro does on cad events is pick up sleet. Euro just shows everything as freezing rain
