Tropical Major Hurricane Helene

It’s kinda surreal to be seeing the talk of comparisons to the Flood of 1916. My grandparents were children living in the mountains for that and both always had numerous stories about how high the water was
Now add the thousands of 10,000 sq foot fourth homes built all over the slopes there and you got an interesting scenario

Does this excessive moisture feed into NC/SC today have anything to do with the storm or would it be here anyway due to the LP in Tenn currently?
It would probably a good bit of rain today even without Helene due to the LP you mentioned begin a good spot to pull moisture from the Gulf. The hurricane absolutely enhanced things though

4.29 here so far with a rate of .5/hr now. It'll only increase from here.
Yep, 3.65 here…no break really at all in the rain….I would like this same action in about 3-4 months while we sit at 25 degrees.

Sattelite and radar indicate a subtle bend from NNE to just E of due north over the past hour or so. Let's see if this is just a wobble are the beginning of the north turn.
