I think three events. One early in the month with snow on the back end. Another two within ten days of each other, most of the snow falls in the third event. Gonna be some sharp rn/sn lines as per nino tradition.

So how do I have above average temps and almost a seasons worth of snow in the same month? I haven't seen enough evidence to be confident that beautiful 500mb pattern translates to the surface during the 1st week of Jan. I'd say slighly below average the 1st 10 days. Sure it's possible to snow but I'm not betting much on that. Then its so common to have a Jan thaw mid month. If that comes in a -PNA and SER combo as some think we may torch since we're so good at that. We may be +2-3 by the end of the 3rd week of Jan. After that we may get a legit cold source and a big storm the last 7-10 days of the month to bring temps back closer to normal. I'd love to be wrong and be -5 for the month and 6-8 inches of snow but I doubt itGSP
