Pattern October 2023 Thread

These are the kind of weeks I live for right here, this almost makes the 3 months on hells front porch worth it. I wouldnt worry to much about it being dry now, if the winter plays out like it should then the SE will be plenty wet, and going in a bit dry will probably actually help. Oct into early Nov is traditionally the driest period for most of us all year.

I've been skeptical anyway and I honestly don't even think that's all snow. There's been a lot of ice showing up in Kansas even. It's more of a SW flow overrunning setup which is yeah usually not fun

I like winter weather any way I can get it. Don't matter. Bring it on!

I bottomed out at 37.6 degrees this morning. It is now 40 and I did see some frost on my vehicles and other exposed surfaces this morning.
The first frost for this area is usually around Halloween so we are running a week ahead of schedule. This cool spell will be a memory though this weekend when highs jump back into the lower eighties. My thermometer is set at five feet above the ground and my backup mercury thermometer under the carport is set at the same height.
