Looks like the models want to start activating the stj week 2 which may be the beginning of the end for the heat ridges and potentially summer
I actually read Accu-weather’s fall forecast and they actually mentioned that we could start seeing that as we end the summer and into early met fall. It would make sense given the progression of the El Niño though we will likely still be dealing with lots of humidity and muggy conditions until October

Yeah, maybe. I don't doubt the water temps, just wondering why a small island surrounded by that very warm water is not close to the same temp.
I am curious the mechanism for the water getting that hot when air temperatures don’t even get much above 90 in that area. I know the sun bakes it, too, but it’s surprising.
 
This MCS complex over WV is in the sweet spot for eventually blasting NC.....if this frame was mid morning instead of 8 pm I would be more interested lol....
