Ice storm much?

Lol and the GFS trys to have a snow storm on top on the ice storm. I love winter weather. But if they run can true. I would be out of power for a week and i really need to watch my dawgs beat Okalahoma in the rose bowl!!

I've seen a mild ice storm before on the day after Christmas....been a while though. I think either that winter or next winter it also snowed in Brownsville.

All ice in the deep south though, looool.

GFS happy hour though for sure. One thing this is telling us is there is going to be something major for sure around Christmas, just a matter of what it is.

that was one hell of a run lmao

I will say though, the signals of something big around Christmas are pretty good

Many more model runs togo, but the signal for a storm is there. 23-26 timeframe. Just WOW gfs.

I'd expect the messy mix/ice to start showing up on modeling again, soon. +NAO, +PNA, -EPO.. Now the GEFS shifting to a warmer look.. oh boy, we bout' to have some silly modeling!

LIghts Out!!!!

And uhm, the only thing we can take from this, is that there is a large signal for a Wintry event around Christmas in the Southern areas. Don't get too excited yet! It will change.

Not to be a grinch, but 12/25 at ATL is tied for the date with the most major icestorms in their history going back to 1879: 3! 12/25 is tied with 1/23 and 1/30. The 3 12/25 icestorms were all cold neutral ENSO, i.e. not too far from the current weak La Nina.
