Latest Hrrr is a little more bullish for NE GA and the upstate. Seems to want to enhance a band across this area from 9pm to midnight, maybe related to the weak surface trough.
Latest HRRR valid now. Yea think we will be radar watching.

Roads are getting snow covered and very icy here.
Etowah County just went under a winter weather advisory. I don’t see it happening, too dry.

Mine too. It's already dropped from the low 40s to 26 here.

This morning was actually our coldest from the Siberian express, 14.4, solid ~20 degree temp drop since our high today around 4pm. A look at the past several days temp wise just west of PGV.

FV3 still looks the most realistic so far.

They said in morning update it still looked like zero impacts were likely, and some grassy areas mainly in elevated areas might see some accumulation less than .01
Then added that they may need to do more frequent updates if changes occurred. Welp, it started snowing pretty solidly around 1 pm, was accumulating before 2 and they didn't issue a WWA or even do another update till 3pm when there were already travel issues all over the area. Now, all of the roads have major impacts and people are stuck on them at night.
Also, most everywhere will end up with almost an inch or more.
Personally, I'm calling this one a pretty firm bust on NWS Huntsville and modeling.
