It's really a shame this storm is gonna be out of here by lunch lol
HRRR/RAP not letting up with the temps. 9z RAP and 12z HRRR both continue to push subzero temps into far northern MS/AL/GA in the morning, with single digit afternoon highs. Most of the higher elevations in TN staying below zero all day. Both models are showing an afternoon high of 1 for Nashville. Here's the "warmest" part of the day lol.

If the post Christmas “threat” is going to materialize, it’s going to have to start showing up today or we can start to kiss it goodbye. Still a long way to go in winter, but this shows you that it’s never truly about patterns, it’s all about timing. We have everything we need for a classic southern snowstorm on the table, and the timing just isn’t there.
A little chilly out in Wyoming this morning 
It usually doesn't push all the way back in here when there's rain and clouds. Currently 46/45, and the winds have turned out of the ESE over the last hour, so we'll see.

3k nam, breaks up the precipitation just to our west and then along the coast so we are sort of in a donut hole of dryness between 17 and 95

Just wait and see. The official low is 11 from the NWS, so it is not going to be 19.5 at 7AM

I just talked to FFC, yes you can call them and speak to a meteorologist. He said that it should be about 7-12 at 7am, and fall slowly or stay steady all day..
Had a few rounds of thunder and heavy rain this morning with temperatures in the upper 30's. Just lovely.

Just talked to a buddy of mine in Casper..worked with him out there for the last 2 years. He said it's -21 at his house and wind is 30mph...he always told me I should come out during winter to experience it.

Plus FFC has a high today of 53, very doubtful it will even come close, another bust..39 and drizzle with cad firmly in place ,maybe at midnight it might rise to that>then crash.

Man, I just want to move those purples and below zeros over the mountains to my area but they just don't want to come. I mean if we're going to all this trouble and getting cold why not be able to have a below zero to show for it!

Boss you have a forecasted low of about 10F Saturday morning, you have a wind chill advisory for WCs as low as -5F (as does the entire Upstate, which is insane).Man, I just want to move those purples and below zeros over the mountains to my area but they just don't want to come.
