Well, I have lived here in NC for 57 years..... I highly doubt you can beat that. I have been on these different weather boards for more than 20 years. The one thing that you can learn, is that you never say never and you don't speak in absolutes.

but in reality; i expect gfs to possibly line up with rgem at this point and call it a day same with euro
 
i think the gfs is gonna try to amp a bit more until go time.. nothing like euro had.. and i expect euro to come to terms with it 36 hrs out from onset

im starting to sound like bird. stop me.

Well, I think the NAM will score a stunning victory, drop 12” at my house and and then as I look out to enjoy it I’ll realize it is a dream and I’ll wake up ill.
 
the nam over amplifies so split it in half probably and closer to gfs when it's done syncing things up in the next couple suites

im still not in on the two wave thing gfs shows.. i think more comes out with gfs progressive northern branch bias
 
nwp is finicky. the higher resolution the globals go, it seems the more they are going to have bad forecasts when they error early on in the forecast period. maybe over amped euro from early was a symptom of that
 
I guess my skies haven't heeled lol I knew back to back sounded to good but I hope the guys down east get a paste job their due.
 
Dear God this guy (Birdman) is an insufferable phallic symbol. A real Richard Head. Why is there always one on these forums that feels they know more about weather than Meteorologists or long time hobbyist? Nails on a chalk board this guy. Pleasant as a hemorrhoid. A boil in the arse of this weather forum and he lingers like a bad smelling Krystal fart.

That's my vent and now I feel so much better.

There’s always sharp gradients with these type of southern sliders that eject in a east north east flow. My reasoning was looking at all guidance not just the one or two that was showing heavy snow for Wilkes. There was plenty of guidance that was alarming for those out west but people were trying to say it will pop n/w like the last system. This is nothing similar to our last system in terms of direction/path and esp where the qpf develops. I could just say sky healing from the recent snow and it’s someone’s else’s turn to see snow (Raleigh) but I didn’t!

I refuse to “let those with fame or money” try to wishcast their way into new subscribers. It’s lame to me the weather channel, a few locals on Twitter, some backyard Mets, etc are wishcasting snow for profits.

I was willing to give your forecast a chance till you said 1-3'' to the county east of Mecklenburg (your words) would be the western extent of accumulation. That made it seem like you were just trolling CLT rather than sound meteorological reasoning.

I might be wrong, but can't you see how that looks?
