Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

We used to get troughs in the east. Tried to tell you homies the other day that holdibg onto suppression as long as possible was key. The cold press hardly ever overwhelms the pattern. And here we are.

I swear we have some folks who have been on the boards for over 5 years and they still don’t understand this

Sign me up…most snow since 2018.

There's something very odd about SE Wake. I don't know what it is, but the eastern edge of every snow map is like a straight line until you get to Wake. Them it buckles back to the NW right in that spot every time there's a gradient nearby. I'm not kidding. Almost every single one. Watch and see.

The classic one:

What is the dewpoint looking like?

????- where is that guy? I think his name is Corey aka the dewpoint man!

Man, keep hope alive! My old hometown hadn’t had a good snow in 15-20 years and always got slop because I was Sourh of 85. Yesterday’s storm gave me warm fuzzies and proves a decent snow can still happen in usually snowless areas! Snowless and grumpy is going to have to change his name now!

Yep, don’t get it either. Guilford Co is only 40 miles from my house but it probably averages 3-4x snow over the past 10-12 years.

The fact we’re already looking at the NAM for upper level clues on our next potential storm system is amazing… BC this never happens around here. Lol

I have a theory on the much talked about Wake snow conundrum (somewhat related to physical geography within and outside of Wake County), but I need to do more research first before submitting it to public scrutiny. Might have something soon though.

Hot down-sloping winds off the downtown skyscrapers

This storm sucks, I already hate tracking it lol

It all seems like it's all just model fantasy, no consensus of even a storm affecting land. Overrunning doesn't show up well on the models so far and were depending on a phase to get an actual storm. Doesn't seem like there's really much of an event to me honestly. Very strange.

Back to perfect placement at 144. This is the one!!!!1
The weenieisms and wishcasting in the weekend thread, are ridiculous at a 3-5 day lead already! There needs to be a wishcaster tag to go with the weenie tag! Accu35 gets my undivided vote and support

Accu35 literally drove like 10,000 miles last year just chasing snowstorms. If that's not a weenie I don't know what is !
