We’ve seen -NAOs develop before with that pac rex type block with wavebreaking in the Atlantic side, something to watch 
Good grief man euro is trying to put the US east of the rockies into the freezer
Wait we actually got a -NAO going this run, the old classic hockey stick look 
Severe threat to a few snow flakes in a few hours

I mean good lord you can’t not get excited with this upcoming pattern in a year where we’re suppose to be torching and blah blah blah there’s always a diamond pattern in the rough of the whole thing and we’re getting this this early? There’s gotta be a catch from old man winter
Something to consider. I looked back at November 2013 and just eyeballing it, looked very close to this past month at least over the US. December followed November with a primarily progressive pattern with a western US trough and of course the hammer fell in January when the TPV dropped on us.
The EPS is shortening wavelengths in the pacific and doing its best to amplify, note the trough in the GOA is digging more and more and trying to even cutoff, which in turns pumps the ridge in the western US/off the west coast, all thanks to the big trough over Russia pumping the Aleutian ridge. only thing that could improve is AK of course, but that vortex is pretty common on the phase 6 MJo analog anyways 
This digging into the GOA/pacific is clearly starting to reflect past day 8 with a improved western ridge
Come on EPS give us the goods on the ensemble runs snow potential

Yep, the last time we seen a similar pacific configuration to be what models currently show was may 2021

This time it just looks more shallow.
Anyways it feels like more often then not we’re duped by models and things changed and go out west, just hoping we can see a legitimately good pacific driven event like Models show, snow or not

Cold if there is any coupling between the strat and troposphere otherwise it's just fun to look at and post
