Oh yay less but still hot and dry. The eps mean doesn't exactly give off vibes of pumpkin spice and bon fires... mainly mid 80sIt also says no SER more like eastern trough … beautiful
Yes true I don’t believe fall is coming but some maybe cool mornings and not so hot afternoons .. I’ll take mid 80s and lower dews with how we’ve been .. not great for drought but I have faith we will get some big joint system at some point with tropics/front that sags south towards us … usually provides a good areal rain for many .. but haven’t seen a consistent sign on that so I’ll just enjoy the average tempsOh yay less but still hot and dry. Yeah it'll be nice to get some lower dews and cooler days. I'm just ready to get away from summer all togetherYes true I don’t believe fall is coming but some maybe cool mornings and not so hot afternoons .. Dewey? Is that you?I'm perplexed as to why the lower dews filter over and down the Apps faster than over Knoxville?
Funny how areas way south of you like Atlanta will be a good 10-15 degrees cooler than you over the next few days. I guess that front just won't make it that far west. Could even be some 50s at night in AL and GA while you are in the 70s at night.Yup looks like summer is over! View attachment 89958
Must have been a busy day, I'm surprised it took this long for someone to comment this.Dewey? Is that you?

The lemon in the Southwestern Carribean has now been designated as a invest. An area of low pressure is producing some disorganized shower activity over the southwestern Caribbean Sea. 16.1718.65 ended up being the final total for JJA. How's everyone else stack up that keeps track?
I wonder how much @smast16 got?18.65 ended up being the final total for JJA. How's everyone else stack up that keeps track?
I'm going to say somewhere around 15 total for his area. He's probably on the high end of that 10-15.I wonder how much @smast16 got?

Not bad totals at all for anyone it seems. It did appear feast or famine and there were dry stretches throughout that tested both of our yards.16.17
I’m guessing he got 13 inches or so , essentially close to what’s average . Of course when it comes to summer though even our average rainfall is not enough to compensate for the amount of evaporation that happens , we would need to average a bit more . Maybe down by the coast where they average more like 18-20 inches JJA it balances out a little more but still probably not even.I'm going to say somewhere around 15 total for his area. Yeah looks like most of the region was close to normal but like you said the long dry periods were/are tough. We certainly didn't do like we did last year where big heat was often associated with big rain. Not bad totals at all for anyone it seems. Yeah if you take a conservative day to day ET rate of .15 you get needing around 14 inches for summer. Accounting for different soil types/loss to run off you are probably more in the 16-17 inch rangeI’m guessing he got 13 inches or so , essentially close to what’s average . Dang I figured you would have got close to 25". Wasn't there a major flooding event in your area ?I got about 17 inches or so in JJA, but about 10 inches of it occurred in July. I figure at least one of the SON months will have below normal rainfall. This swamp fest has to end somewhere down the line!
