Clear example of using far radars … close radars don’t see these developing but the further ones are catching them in the beginning stages

The whole sfc trough is going off now. It'll be interesting to see how that interacts with the ofb coming in from SE Va

This is definitely the summer of high dewpoints. Mine is at 72 right now which is the lowest it’s been all day. The wind has been NW around 3mph all afternoon… that would typically let things mix out down to the mid 60s by now, but not this year

Flat out crushed this afternoon. Sustained non severe winds around 40mph for 5 minutes and torrential rains. Neighborhood had water where I've never seen water before.

Tell ya right now areas east of I95 in NC better avoid all the tropical stuff this year or we are in trouble. We are running surpluses of 13+ inches and the airport has missed the big rains this week. We are already approaching our yearly average.
It really is amazing how quickly that has flipped since May for you guys. How were things with deficit/surplus before in 2016 before Matthew and 2018 before Florence?

I'd have to look it up. Florence wasn't bad IMBY but Mathew was crazy for flooding here. Not as bad as floyd but close.
