Had a decent period of moderate rain at dawn but that and a storm on Sun for 10 mins is all we have had so far....not complaining enough for the crops/gardens/grass but not enough to fill the rivers up........
 
HRRR likes a corridor of some hefty rain totals for areas roughly between Birmingham to Greenville through tomorrow morning.F7E856F6-0A13-4B20-98CF-36D7C808BAA9.jpeg
 
.65 so far, those storms last night did in fact build back just enough to give me .5 and the light stuff overnight and this morning have added another .15.
 
0.39” overnight, 0.24” since midnight to get us to over an inch for July. Only took 18 days and a third
 
A little light rain out there. Still nothing matching the totals projected during this time frame. As the saying goes, a little is better than nothing.

You're not getting much? We can't be more than 10 miles north of you and we got ~2" last night and another inch since 10AM today.
 
Starting to get some decent clearing in Charlotte. Should help aid in additional development of downpours/storms later on.

Eh don’t see much more development past what’s already a happened .. short range not spitting out anything other than light showers that don’t move fast ..
 
What a first half of week in the SE with lots of rainfall and well BN highs! It will warm later in the week as it dries out but no widespread SE drought or heatwave is in sight. Homeowners like me and farmers should be loving this crop/lawn friendly wx!

The GEFS is suggesting that KATL may finally have a string of 90+ starting this weekend and into mid next week although still only a few degrees AN/no heatwave. And then it appears it may cool down once again as solid soil moisture protects the bulk of the SE for the forseeable future.

Amazing ! Continues on into winter with well above normal temps and we could be looking at one of the most comfortable periods in history , how does that sound ? Mild summer mild winter . Comfort is the name of the game right ? Right ?!?

Short range modeling has been hot garage all summer long. We know better than that…
