It amazing how different things can be over a short distance. After a dry May, I’ve had a fair amount of storms here in eastern Union County. I’m gonna finish the month with 6.27 inches of rain for the month, and later this week looks good as well. I do hope you guys just north and west of me can get in on some action soon.
Yeah, that's the south for you. Lol. You have done really well over on your side of town. We have had a couple of heavy rains here too, but I don't think we are at 6 inches. I think Friday and Saturday look good for most of us. Let's just hope that continues moving forward.

Looking possible Lytton Canada may hit 50 c today. 850s are 1-3 c higher , at about 31c . Wow
SW probably. If the front isn't too fast Friday some hints that we have a corridor of big time totals. I doubt rah goes with a FFW but I wouldn't be surprised if they mention considering it. Cell motion may turn from W to E to S to N and overlap some areas as well as train

Its 73 in Seattle now compared to 99 yesterday. That's a heck of a cold front.
Euro is doing that thing again

Does Friday/Saturday look more like a heavy rain/ flooding threat or maybe a severe threat? I’m leaning for the heavy rain threat it seems
Going to have a tornado threat if we aren't careful
Friday if we manage to develop a sfc low or some kind of mesolow on the front. Chances are though any tor threat would end up fairly low

I wonder why there's been a tendency for upper level closed ridges to form over the mid-ATL region lately? Deep South(MS/AL/GA) has been spared from any 594+ dm ridges from building on top of us fortunately. I guess evaporation of moisture in the ground creates lift and makes it hard for air to sink. Still, I'll probably be eating crow from saying this in a few weeks when we're baking in 95+ degree heat lol.
That’s a nice release of heat from our NW 
Even with these "cool" days to end the month and the cold days to start the month, thanks to the 2-3 weeks of hot temps in the middle, it appears DFW will end the month of June right around average (as of today, the departure is +0.4*F)

Hey don’t steal my thunder ! I introduced you to this issh! B nah it’s cool as heck to see and very counterintuitive . No one would think our biggest heatwaves come from Canada of all places .
Please survive into the night so I don’t get shut out in June for lightning shots 
It’s more cool then seeing extreme cold move in from our NW

I wonder if something similar happens in winter with our record warmest highs . I’d imagine that’s how we managed 80 in January , down-sloping winds perhaps .

Lytton canada topped out at 49.6c , possibly 50c today . Holy ---- , holy heck it’s record is about the same as Phoenix Arizona now. 50c temps are some of the rarest possible temps and only ever recorded in few places in earth such as Death Valley , Iraq , and Arizona . Literally that’s it and the Sahara of course. But freaking lush 50 degrees north of the pacific north west in Canada !!!!!!! My god ! I am at a loss of words .

Sometimes we can get days in the low 70s after fronts especially in late winter, but typically our 80 degree days in winter happen from the southeast ridge

Steele ND in July 6 1936. I’ve always found that one of the craziest records as well. 49.4c. It’s elevation is 1860 feet , here in NC places at that elevation have record probably around 100 only .
