We somehow pulled off 1.48 last night. _Places less than 10 miles away never got a drop from it.
You can find them above that if you dig deep enough. When they did the stormwater tunnel for Cobb County a few years back they found fossilized sea shells deep down and Cobb is mostly around 1000' elevation.

With the artic blast that crushed Texas and now a relatively cool spring and start to meteoroligical summer.......the potential is there for Texas to have an anomaly on their yearly temps. Could be quite a cold year for Texas compared to avergae.

It would be nuts if Fargo hit 100 this year and Atlanta didnt
IDK... I seem to remember a number of times when the upper Midwest got triple digit heat while the southeast had our humid low 90s

Had a beautiful storm here in Zebulon earlier , fields and woods fogging up ! Evapotranspiration . Summer is heaven , it never ever gets old every storm every 40k foot cloud top lit orange during sunset .... never ever fails to excite !

Atlanta’s mean annual maximum is like 98 degrees , 100 prolly happens , without checking here you can verify , probably once every 3-4 years on average .

Storms over Wilson and western Pitt just missed me but as the sun set it lit the storm up from underneath. Impressive

Yesterday the hrrr kept us dry but the 3k developed a line of storms and dropped them down from the Virginia border. The 3knam crushed the hrrr in that case and some areas got over 2 inches of rain from the slow moving storms.

Why? It's not like we even get winter weather here anymore. Let's just stay in Spring, Summer, and Fall year-round. At least we have stuff to track. Unlike the fantasy snowstorms that never amount to anything. ?

I'd rather just have Fall all year long. Bright, sunny days, low humidity, football, Halloween, Thanksgiving. It's just an amazing time of year.
I can deal with Football, Halloween, and Thanksgiving but besides hurricanes, there is literally nothing to track. Hoping we can eek at some storms today. Things are already beginning to fire just to our south. Come on storms!
