Oh look the Euro is an oven and the GFS isn't. Guess it's time to watch the GFS warm up again and the Euro hold its ground.

Got to love an extreme west-based +PNA and extreme SW-based -NAO aka the Maine block!

Winter isn't here until this start happening

So Dodgers choke in the post season and winter is a fail already, some things never change, 2020 or not

Actually...Some things have changed! The Braves finally won a playoff series for the first time in 19 years...Well two now...Just saying...2020 still sucks however! LOL!

No one alive today has really seen what kind of winters the SER is capable of producing. I want a winter like 31/32 or 1889/1890. Both winters had every single winter month average highs over 60. That’s similar to somewhere in north Florida . It would be the equivalent anomaly wise of having a winter where every month averaged highs under 40 which has never happened before . I think 1931/1932 featured quite the La Niña actually .

Winters pre 1960 were so much better imo. Milder and snowier than today . Quite the combination ! There was some bouts of big cold back then but not quite the frequency that it happened post 1960. Yet it managed to be overall much snowier despite the mildness , summers were also a bit milder then too.

I could deal with mild if I got double digit snowfall every year! Problem is with these dumpster fire recent winters is its not only warm its pretty much snowless!

Bunch of defeatist around here.
Way to early to jump in my opinion. La Niña winter so December- January is the time. If it looks like poop come January 15th then jump.
Agreed. If we can't score between 11/15-1/15 then yeah there will be some cause for concern but good grief jumping now is crazy. The best part of Ninas are they are generally their coldest during the holidays
