I lived in Colo a couple of years. I didn't have that big of a spread but i do remember 70s in the day followed by snow that same night a couple times. Loved the weather there. Here we're only going to cool down about 10 degrees from our "front " ?I cannot imagine a high of 96 and a low of 36. Run the air on full blast that day. Run the heat full blast the following morning. ??
Hey that’s not fair ! We can sometimes get impressive cool downs as well. Nothing like Colorado of course but 20-30 degree cool downs, perhaps even greater , have happened . Hell remember one particular front that had me in the low 40s but places like 30 miles east where it hadn’t passed where around 80. That’s pretty epic . Hell places like 2 miles away were far warmerI lived in Colo a couple of years. I didn't have that big of a spread but i do remember 70s in the day followed by snow that same night a couple times. Seriously, I have enjoyed seeing it. Gives us some hope. Come winter though it may be trolling!!
I thought I was crazy when I went out earlier and said oh not badYou know it's been a swamp kiester summer when 82° with a few point of 67° feels decent with a light breeze.
Tomorrow might feel down right chilly.
Sounds like chase time for you12z GFS now has some snowfall all the way in the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle early next week. Should this verify, this would shatter the record for the earliest snowfall of all time in both areas. The earliest snowfall in the Oklahoma panhandle is September 18, 1971, and the earliest snowfall in the Texas Panhandle is on September 27, 1936. View attachment 48029
