Twisted wording. From another source you may or may not like, same person, different general message.
“We are definitely seeing this affect young people, and they’re getting quite ill,” Houston Methodist CEO Dr. Marc Boom said on “Squawk Box.” “So we really need everybody to do their part.”
So saying people don't need to be that worried about hospitalizations is just putting a band aid on a larger problem. People need to take the virus seriously.

For those using deaths as an argument for it getting better, it’s clearly just killing people at a slower rate, which is largely due to our medical interventions.

That should be extremely obvious... as cases are exploding, and hospitalizations are increasing, deaths are decreasing.

Why???

Our knowledge on how to treat a Covid-19 patient has gone from ZERO to in depth protocols at every hospital in the nation.

See here for a nice summary of a protocol from a teaching hospital on how they treat Covid 19 patients: https://www.evms.edu/media/evms_pub...cine/EVMS_Critical_Care_COVID-19_Protocol.pdf

It’s not because the virus is slowing down, it’s not because the virus has mutated to a weaker virus, it’s because our doctors are doing their job and kicking ass.

Tomorrow will be day 7 since I tested positive on my swab. That is supposed to be the worst day according to survivors. I just want to put It on the record that I’ve had common colds that have packed more punch than this.

Many also report turning worse week 2. Good luck to you sir, I hope you’re not too confident and take care of yourself. Plenty of rest and fluids. You’re lucky you’ve had such a mild case. I did too, but now have post viral/chronic fatigue syndrome and joint pain and I’m on day 80. I’d take a common cold any day at this point. My punch was soft but the bruise this virus has left is quite obviously long lasting.

Bingo! Everyone on the right loves to cherry-pick death figures and pretend like it's getting better and this is all going away very soon! Couldn't be further from the truth.
