Hopefully we are seeing the weakening of the virus that was reported in Italy a month or 2 ago.

It almost has to be. We are well beyond the lag period in a lot of these states to at least see some uptick in deaths, much less a flat to still slight downtrend.

I wonder if a lot of these hospitalizations are people who would have been turned away in March and April because of a worry of being overwhelmed, yet now have plenty of room.

This is good, but unfortunately deaths are a lagging indicator. The people we see sick with the record case counts this week won’t die for another 2-3 weeks, which is the average time for having the disease before death. Not saying low deaths aren’t good, just be cautious.

I don’t why people don’t get this...it’s been mentioned time and time again. Deaths lag cases, also we have gotten much better at treating this. There’s actually protocols in the hospital now for Covid patients. There weren’t any a couple of months ago.

Data don't lie...... Our recent spike was, in fact due, to the protesters. Plain and simple. Anyone who refuses to believe it is lying to themselves.

Look at better data. Contact tracing in Washington state says it's not the protest.
