Don't underestimate "safety" as a huge campaign issue this year. Liberal Democrats are screwing this up big time and it's going to reflect on election day when people walk into that box to vote. The silent majority is going to be bigger than 2016
This is actually a great point. DJT was the “Law and Order” candidate in 2016. That was actually one of his biggest campaign fundamentals. This will absolutely fire up his base and appeal to the silent majority again in November.

I could only see myself going back to Democrat if they drop the extremism. Stop trying to give burger flippers $15/hr, stop trying to make America pay for a green deal, and stop trying to make America pay for everyone else. And let us build that damn wall in peace against drugs and dangerous people. And a lot more. Help people wanna work not collect benefits or healthcare for sitting on their arse is my number 1 complaint tbh

I don't think his base has left him in any way. Just like Pelosi gaining support among democrats for telling people to "come to China its safe here, there is no pandemic". They love this stuff. Biden will get that crowd.

Completely agree. I don't care about the R or D in front of your name. Are you intelligent and support good policies that enable a country to be great and successful economically? Ideology and legislative history go a long way for me.

There is an area where he is going to steal some votes, especially among minorities who actually respect the police. Republicans across the board are going to jump all over this defunding mess and democrats can't hide from it and call it fear mongering. Joe wont be able to hide from his past during the debates. Been there 40+ years and done nothing for black people but lock them up

Its not results driven, or else the vote would've been long gone. Its emotion driven. All they do is get teary-eyed and say something sympathetic, and get the vote, whether there have been results or not.

At some point minorities are going to have to see they have been getting bent over for 50+ years by Democrats promising solutions. Im baffled it hasn't happened before now and I know they don't like Trump but if they actually desire big changes they are going to have to do something different, especially at the local levels. They have nothing to lose by jumping ship on the democrat party

I’m assuming he means the protest where tens of thousands of people showed up and didn’t social distance now leading to a spike. Idk though
You do realize that with the incubation period, any spike related to those protests would not start to appear until this week right?

One of those polls have Trump only up two in AR. I kind of doubt that. He won it by 27 in 2016.
yeah I commented on that yesterday. I don’t think biden will win Arkansas but it does tell me that trump is hurting bigly right now.

100% false. First protests were May 26. This is a fun thread and we pick at one another a lot but let’s not tell blatant lies

My uncle works at a local testing facility and he told me yesterday that “People are getting a lot sicker, sooner.” He said that a few months ago, people were coming in with symptoms that had been lingering for 5-7 days but he said here recently people are coming in saying “I woke up this morning and I feel like I’m dying. I was fine yesterday.” 14 day incubation is not one size fits all.

You trumpers know darn well if the polls were good you would be shouting from the rooftops about them. Bigly.
I wouldn’t and won’t all the way to November. I’m sure there are plenty in here that will though lol. Some were posting a Rasmussen poll with his AA approval at 41% the other day. We all know that’s a junk poll. There’s a national poll today that came out having trump up 1. Once again JUNK

Absolutely false. The people I know with it all developed symptoms 4 days after exposure which lines up well with info below about it. We are 3 weeks past the start of the riots and the spike in cases coincides quite well with the info below.

On average, symptoms showed up in the newly infected person about 5 days after contact. Rarely, symptoms appeared as soon as 2 days after exposure. Most people with symptoms had them by day 12. And most of the other ill people were sick by day 14. In rare cases, symptoms can show up after 14 days. Researchers think this happens with about 1 out of every 100 people.” Link

Roy Cooper has to own the unemployment mess in NC and should be voted out for it. His administration is responsible for the fact that, by May 17th, almost HALF of people filing claims had not received their FIRST check. We were ranked 49th in the country on timely payments of unemployment, this is disgraceful.

Two things are unfathomable to me:

1) That in this day and age, we can't easily solve the problem you mentioned. In fact, a bonus unfathomable is, why is it even an issue to begin with?

2) How anyone believes the government can solve any of the tough problems we face is beyond me. The Republicans can fix it. No, the Democrats can fix it. They are all inept.

Why we spend so much time arguing left vs right is a mystery to me, when the government proves time and again that they can't help us with the important stuff.

That's not true at all. You're saying it takes 3 weeks+? Nope.

Yep sometime fairly recently I was saying that it was convenient that Georgia was reporting 1000+ new cases a little over 2 weeks after the protests began. Maybe they began later in NC, idk, but I know that the Atlanta protests began near the end of May.

That day probably isn't reflected in charts though yet. Honestly I haven't been keeping as much track but that goes to show that doing some normal things with caution might not be doing much while doing something silly like going and rioting and burning down stuff with crowds might be spreading the virus.

I am a big believer in polls and to be honest they really weren’t off by much in the closing stage of the 2016 race (despite what people claim). However, extrapolating June polls to November is a dangerous game as there’s half a year left before the election. If the election were held today, Biden would likely win by a comfortable margin, if not a landslide, but it isn’t being held for five months. The general election campaigns really haven’t even kicked into gear yet.

If I were a betting man, I’d predict a Biden victory in November at this point, but it’s not a sure thing.

Meh I posted on it and I am not a professional left wing troll....I am a Republican that is very disappointed in the direction the party is going and in the nomination of Trump. Heck go read the thread then look at the post history of the posters you can tell easily if they are trolls/leftist etc by their content.....most of those stories are very relatable to me and I suspect many other disgruntled conservatives on this forum and many other places.
No offense and really business of mine. But you will never sale to me that you are conservative. Nothing wrong with you being you.

From what I have seen since I started paying closer attention to politics, there are about 2 dozen versions of "conservative". The very reason why I just call myself a "realist". Its much more honest.....

Trump has enjoyed success as a political candidate for one reason only. Hes an outsider.
In America its not Dem verse Republican anymore, its inside the beltway verse outside the beltway. You have the MSM aligned with the Dem party fighting the Republican establishment inside the beltway to have controlling power.
Trump for all his character flaws/faults, is not a washington establishment figure controlled by k street or one of the parties. Plain and simple. He is a threat to the inside beltway power base(both sides).

He will get re elected because of one other simple reason. RESULTS. He gets things done for the working class middle America.

Agree 100%. Results matter. Fully understand some people want Mr. Rodgers in the white house but this day in time you kinda have to be an a-hole to get things done. Trump has that covered I would say
