I think there should be peaceful protest to show support for cops. Cops are under attack right now unfortunately because of a few bad apples

I would use the word disgusting :)

Whats even more disgusting is the fringe supporters actually support and push this approach.....they are not interested in compromise they want to shove their vision of this nation down our throats.....the far right want a authoritarian religious Christian nation and the progressives want a socialistic cradle to grave style government and both sides are saying if you dont like it you can GTFO......somehow someway the middle moderate majority of this nation needs to stand up and tell both those sides to go to hell and take back control of this country......

The crazy thing about it is the Christian right would not be rioting in the streets and doing these types of things

Most people at the protests look to be wearing masks. So it's not likely to spread for that as much as you think. You know the Trump folks won't wear masks cause they think it makes them look weak or some nonsense.

In my state we had a record 687 new cases yesterday. So I’m assuming this is due To Memorial Day festivities as well as mass gathering protesters.

Can you post some of these examples of the authoritarian Christian nation supporters' work? I can't find any far right stuff on the leftist media sites. They aren't posting any critical opinion pieces or anything about these far-right Christian authoritarians. I don't know why, cause I thought they would be all over it.

Exactly which values that define you are you willing to part with? What are you going to compromise? The reason we can't compromise is because the left has eroded all of the "preferences" and now is demanding you "think" and "value" what they dictate. Conservatives don't do that and therefore it's a one-sided request. It isn't compromise they request, it's capitulation and total agreement.

"You're either with us or against us" is their motto now. I can be NOT with you and not against you at the same time.

That Lenin statue is privately owned and therefore not a "public" statue. The government can't touch it. The owner is willing to sell it, if you're interested. I think they want around $250,000.00. for it. It is a work of art, though the subject matter is very disturbing.

I think governments should sell all of their monuments and statues, and public lands, too. Privatization is a good thing!

I get that from many on the left. But I hear kind of the same from a lot of Trump supporters also. I'm not a fan of broad-brushing. All on the left are not bad, stubborn people and all on the right are not good, super-willing compromisers.

The compromise is to actually sit down and talk and listen and try to understand what the other person is saying and try to weed out the irrational foundations that many points of view are built upon. That's the compromise. But so many are unwilling to do it.

Instead, we build defensive positions on top of false realities, fueled by deep ideology and group think. The bizarre replaces truth and sense, causing everyone to have stupid arguments about stupid things.
