That lines bowing out for sure. Maybe not severe but looks gusty

Probably not, they were around 40-50 mph if I were to guess. I didn’t expect that power surge though. It knocked everything out for a moment or two.

That line looks to heading up your way over the next few hours.

The bark was a little bigger than the bite, at least here ending up with only about .5", 1" total including last night. Getting close to 40", (39.03") on the year.

I drove thru it downtown around 5:20. Torrential rain and it was blowing the car around pretty good. Not fun to drive in

Wednesday and Thursday have my attention particularly .. models continue to depict two different “fire hoses” setting up .. first Wednesday around the Charlotte upstate area into the mountains.. second seems to be Thursday in the central NC area draping across Raleigh oriented southeast to northwest .. the models look like they want to depict a large death band in both instances (not just the scattered Training heavy rain we’re going to see the tonight and tomorrow) .. it seems more confined and pronounced for Wednesday and Thursday which could have potential for some PDS flash flooding I’m thinking

Know everyone is all excited about this rain but I for one am not looking forward to 4 days of 56 degree rains . Its not mid february, it shouldnt be 56 degrees or raining for 4 days. Personally never understood the drought fears on here its been years since we had a proper drought in NC and on top of that summer is our wet season anyways .

Broke the dry stretch of May earlier today with a taste, and now it's finally pouring. May 18th was the charm!

Round 2 will be a failure here too. Tomorrow will be a dry day over most of western SC and all of GA. If we do not get something on Wed this will be no big deal here.

The cell near Boone, NC popped out of nowhere. Dumping 3” rates. That can happen overnight for many of us but esp mtns/foothills.

1.5" here today alone. Another round tomorrow is likely so I'm expecting the opposite of what you're saying as usual.

3.49 so far here. Strangely fortunate though; each of the last 2 waves have weakened and split just before getting to me, or I could easily be in the 5 inch range already.

I am totally fine with you guys keeping this all out west, totals keep dropping for us eastern folks.....down to 2.2" over 6 days on the latest GFS, yesterday it was almost 5" in that time frame.....

This first full day has really giving me a ton of rain. PWS has 1.77 for yesterday ending at midnight 30 mins ago and it’s still pouring right now with 0.15 since midnight. Big time slow moving storms moving over the Columbia area right now.

Shove it another 100 miles west let those suckers in Nashville have it.

The rain tongiht around SC and NC seems fairly not seen that well by the short range guidance .. I feel like this type of set up it’s hard to really model where things form and bubble up .. interesting next few days for sure

24-hour rainfall totals and 6-hour flash flood guidance for upstate SC and southwestern NC as of this morning.

Most in this area have already seen at least 1-2" of rain, with isolated amounts near or over 3". Only an additional 2-4" of rain in a span of 6 hours would result in flash flooding for most.

Not much here which is good kinda dry from mount airy to Huntersville on i77. Surprised at all the rain along the coast of NC is getting HAMMERED.

For most of this area we likely stay showery with lower end precip totals through the next 24-30 hours. The main show for us still looks to be tomorrow afternoon trough Thursday afternoon.

This could get ugly....got 2.12" overnight and we have only just begun. There is going to be some major flooding.

Yeah, up to 3.94 for me. This looks to stretch into Friday night with a chance if isolated storms everyday following. Per the NWS point forecast tomorrow is supposed to be the worst for my area. Several additional inches isn't going to be good for many. Flooding, downed trees, and slides could be a big risk during the course of the next few days.
