Miserable March

The narrowest line of heavy rain showers are closing in.

Looking forward to our roads being paved in gold (again) doon.

Didnt get a chance to post this yesterday but March 28th 1984 will forever be burned into my memory, a F4 passed about 1 mile from the house I lived in at the time....it was raining debris and the sound was unreal, the house I now own had it existed in 1984 would probably have been damaged or destroyed, the area that was fairly rural in 1984 is now heavily populated and a similar event now would be horribly destructive and deadly.....it killed one of my teachers as she tried to save her horses.

All these pictures are taken within a half mile of where I currently live, the storm was rated at its peak as F4, though it was probably around EF 2-3 in this area, it was also close to a quarter mile wide at this point....the storm was actually surveyed by Ted Fujita himself.

Nothing severe, but things did get kind of Randy (gusty) with the squall line.

It kind of bowed out as it moved through.

Only got 1 rumble of thunder though.
Got several minutes of some very gusty winds and a quick .38" of rain. Lost power for a few minutes, too. Hung out in the basement for about 15 minutes with the family just to be sure one of my neighbors dead pine trees didn't come down on us.

Well that was a fail by nearly all forecasters. Half inch to 1” of rain will NOT be occurring East of the mountains. Oops
