Oh please. I never said that at all. I said he implied that when I expert says something, no one should question it and if that is the logic we use we might as well only post news articles.

I was busy watching Homicide Hunter and I come back to see a thread that's well on it's way to getting locked, good job everyone.
Things have really gotten bad in GA, more so than I would've ever imagined. I know we talked the reason was in part due to ATL being a huge hub, but something else has to be going on. Does anyone have any ideas? I hope my home state can recover.

People aren't willing to listen and social distance plays a big part in it. I'm not going to get political but Kemp seems to be downplaying it himself and when people put their trust in that it only gets worse. And on top of that, we're limited on how much we can test. As of today, 21% of the tests return positive as they're prioritizing poorly. People with symptoms or are missing one are being turned away because they don't meet all the criteria or have a special pass to be tested like emergency services does. We need more testing and a better system of testing in Georgia and Georgians to take this seriously or it's just going to get worse for all of us as well as drag this out until later this year.

I can see, that I think that's why Cooper ordered the shelter in place. Probably a lot of pressure from counties and the fact that GA, AL, and SC have been hit pretty hard. That's why we need more bipartisanship. I've said this many times, we can't defeat this thing if everyone turns this into a political debate instead of scientific debate.

2 or 3 huge funerals/church gatherings is where at least a lot of the early ones get traced back to. Apparently someone in the crowd probably was in Washington and had exposure, as I think the funerals were either in February, or not long before the first death in Washington. The most affected areas by those church deals are apparently the Atlanta metro, Albany, and I think parts of Bartow County (maybe also Atlanta metro but I'm not totally sure here). Atlanta of course also has the major airport and who knows who came in.
Albany (the hardest hit besides the Atlanta metro), also had a marathon I think, and then Phoebe apparently initially botched things to start out by saying that health workers that don't have symptoms, but test positive should continue working.

Was going to Home Depot to pick up a couple of items but turned around when I saw the parking lot which was fuller than a normal spring weekend. Literally people spilling Out of the store in line to check out. No way that’s a good idea. No more stores for me except groceries.

Always one guy in the unit who stirs up $hit, steps to the side, and watches everyone else get heated at one another over something he said. I’m that guy. They forget the original guy who sits back with a smug grin on his face and a warmth in his heart. LOL
This is the kind of crap that has to stop. I understand that people are going stir-crazy, myself included. But stores need to start limiting how many people shop at once. You don't have to bring your whole family to go to Walmart or Lowe's. If you go, go alone. That would help with overcrowding and would greatly reduce the spread.

Georgia’s problem is that if you look at the overall health of state it isn’t great. You have several areas that are considered severely economical disadvantaged. Which that translates into more people having underlying health problems.
Albany’s problem is they had two funerals one day. At both those funerals was a man from the Atlanta area that didn’t realize he was viral shedding when he was present. He late was diagnosed in the Atlanta area after returning. They can trace the first numbers to those who events.
Cobb County’s issue with their numbers are they had 3 daycare centers hit, 4 nursing homes, and several schools. Considering the transmission rate of this virus is high it doesn’t take much to start a domino effect.
