With this stay at home order am I not allowed to ride my bike 5 miles up a 2 lane road to a nice lil spot in the woods on my own? I live in wake county , the one rural part of the county but still wake county which has raleigh . So stay at home applies to me obviously .

you don't wanna give it to a squirrel ...

Stay at home really isn't affecting anything here. Seeing tons of people still walking around and enjoying the spring weather. Social distancing is definitely not happening.
it will after a few hospital reports ... based on 1st hand observations ... ?

Unless the New Scientist article was wrong he said this concerning the UK.
I saw that too. That website came up as usually pretty accurate.

Sooo, I've been pretty clear how I feel about the "not a big deal" theory (I don't believe it and think the majority of evidence is hogwash, lol). But with that in mind, if someone wanted to argue for the US having lower CFR than expected and that more cases exist because of asymptomatic transmission, I would take a very hard look at Germany's data. ?️‍♀️

That cryptic enough?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just don't call a lot of attention to yourself and give'em a reason to stop you.

Personally I think it has a lower CFR than thought, but the problem is if it does it means it is way more contagious and would have the same effect in the shorter term by just sheer volume. It would mean it would burn through and burn out faster though.

Definitely a big deal until we get the hospitals and ICUs stable.

Same here. Nobody seems to be abiding by it but businesses. People are stubborn to the point it'll only drag this on further.
Exactly. This is why I'm kind of up in the air about them going ahead and just letting things get back to normal. They are putting out these stay at home orders and shutting things down, yet folks are still outside and not following the suggestions. If people won't listen regardless, then whats the point?

Here is a thought to ponder on as well. So we go back to normal in a month or two, it’s still circulating and someone in your office/work comes down with covid. What happens? Will they have to stay home for 14 days? Does the whole office close? I think we are setting ourselves up for hard times. Kinda compare this to school systems now. We close schools for heavy rain. What gives? I’m kinda on the we are overreacting side of things. I’m not taking 10+ days vacation.

I live in a county with the second most reports in GA. People still out and about.
It is still a very small number compared to the total population. Most people do not know of anyone that tested positive for the virus. We really must have more data. It is quite possible that a large percentage of the population has immunity already. We need antibody tests.

Yea I'm not sure how to handle it to be honest. I just know a lot of people are not going to follow the suggestion regardless, so its not like the social distancing is actually going to work. When only 50% of people are actually practicing, then its a waste of time.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this all plays out in 6 months. We don’t know what the future holds, but it seems more than likely this will be circulating potentially for the near future. So if no vaccine is available in the fall, do the kids go back to school?

My Dad's cousin was sitting in a hospital bed with the Coronavirus. She was dying. My dad told her to take Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine cause it was the remedy that Trump suggested. She didn't want to take it cause in her words, "Trump is an orange idiot." Close to death from her inability to breath properly, my dad finally convinced her to give it a try. In less than 24 hours, she was completely cured from the virus. I'd like to thank Donald Trump for saving my dad's liberal cousin.

It'll work for 50% of the people. I honestly can't care about the people that don't practice social distancing. I can't. You've had ample warning. I hear parties going on around my house. If your that -------- selfish of a person, I can't help you. Only you can help you.
