the line is about 15 miles nw of us right now......we seem to be in an area where storms "split" missing us either north or south but barely.

SPC really upped the tornado risk for our area.

Has Georgia approached the Significant probability level in recent past? Not sure if there is historical data I could query somewhere.

New SPC outlook expands the enhanced risk further eastward towards the I-95 corridor in NC, now includes Raleigh... The tornado risk increased a tad as well...

Calling for more storms next Wednesday?

Still way out there but with a powerful cold front moving in this time of year you have to watch. Looks similar to this setup with the best dynamics well to the north

Latest 24 hour max updraft helicity aka rotating storm tracks per the SPC SSEO leaves a little bit to be desired for NC, that CIN is no good...hopefully cap erodes

Jon - Here's hoping the whole system erodes before someone gets really hurt ... JMHO
Hoping for the best, and
Best as always!

I'm hoping the cap erodes so we get more severe storms ;) But yeah, I agree actually. Night severe is never good, really...you can't chase it so it's practically pointless.

You get to dispense pain pills; I on the other hand ....

I was hoping to see some evidence that the SPC was considering our area for a watch later, but it doesn't look all that great to me right now. They moved the Enhanced Risk area over us, but that was probably a bit overzealous.

This severe weather is making feel like it's summer time. There was a 5 min. downpour and a clap of thunder - summer time weather.

CIN keeps rising, that should keep everything good away. Cap holding. Meh.
