This can't be correct, I guess those storms last night got close but the ground isn't even damp this morning. No sign of any drops of rain... In fact it's not good when first thing in the morning the ground is bone dry, can't even muster up any dew.

Looks like the euro keeps overdoing the heat on wed with 24c at 850 with the GFS and NAM at 21c.

Local intellicast station says it feels like 108 here. FML. I’m about to go down to the creek and throw the casting net anyway
108? Just throw yourself into the creek

Welp, the hrrr took away the consistent Cabarrus County shower/t-storm it’s showed for the past 5 runs

Looking more likely this rainless stretch gets to at least 25-30 days. Next realistic chance of rain is 9-10 days out and that may be generous.

This is just as bad as the current pattern, just going from one ------ pattern to the next. Give me 95/75 at least there is a chance of rain then

Don't worry, it will verify 20 degrees warmer.

Not as impressive as earlier, but here’s that weird LPish type supercell, 0-6km bulk shear is supportive of it, along with inverted Vs/large dry layer from the SFC-850 hPa owing to high LCLs, wish I could get a time lapse of this thing but it’s has a very weak meso (blue spinning lines) and has decent inflow/streamwise vorticity (red), it looked way cooler earlier tho, edit* it’s dissipating now77716B9E-A9E0-457B-8A0C-4A15B39762B4.jpeg
