Just wanting to bring up the HRRR was horribly wrong with the complex that went through ATL last night! Showed it holding together as a fairly strong line into Greenville around 7-9AM, didn’t even get a sprinkle.
First legitimate bout of interesting weather (aside from the recent flizzard) that Charlotte has seen in a whileIn slight risk for the first time this year, I believe.

Looks like the first real threat of the year here. Wonder of we will get an enhanced area.
Im not sure there is enough right now to upgrade from what they have. If they did upgrade i think the 85 corridor would be the favored area with late evening timing farther east possibly reducing some of the instability. If we get that MCS to develop and head into large amounts of instability like models are showing, there probably will be a enhanced risk
That 18z HRRR run gives me a bad feeling for tomorrow.
Tv meteorologists are going to have there work cut out for them tomorrow.TOR supportive soundings all across the SE tomorrow.
U do call 911 for severe hail or tornado I always do saves lives people
El pollo loco, the humidity is way up, I’m concerned about tomorrow, not getting much hype from local mets!U do call 911 for severe hail or tornado I always do saves lives people
Sounding from central alabama. Perfect hodo curvature. Cape isnt all that impressive neither is lapse rates though.View attachment 18568
Id hate for any storms to become surface based then. ?This sounding supports storms struggling to stay surface based and taking on some elevated characteristics due to lowering SBcape, still increased MUcape, still this sounding is sketchy and is definitely something to watch
Yea that’s the storm that hit me. That’s picture is the Thompson Road exit off interstate 65.Storm in north alabama View attachment 18572View attachment 18573
