When model watching a few days out, I always try to remember how far out models zeroed in on prior threats that delivered for MBY. I can’t seem to recall but it seemed like we were legitimately in the crosshairs a week or 10 days out, lose the storm a bit usually to a suppressed look, then have it show back up around 72 hours out.
Aside from a couple of borderline overrunning looks, I don’t think the I-20/I-85 corridor in GA has had a great look aside from a couple of out-there ensemble members.

That stuff is going around unfortunately. My daughter had it and took Tamiflu which helped but it has a nasty smelll. I mixed it with chocolate syrup which seemed to help the flavor.

even the "cold" NAM was way too warm

If I had known the early December storm was all the snow I was going to get this winter, I would have just asked for warm and sunny the rest of winter. Outside that awesome storm, this winter has been dreary and miserable.
This winter has been like UVA basketball last year winning the ACC regular season, the ACC tournament, getting a number one seed in the NCAA tournament, but then losing in the first round.

That’s gold! Some waved the white flag earlier than others but in the end we’re all in the same fail boat. Next year will be better. Let’s just hope and pray for

Well for the month of February it looks like this will be close to the final anomaly map... There was plenty of cold around, enough that the CONUS averaged -1.96C despite the warmth here in our region.

Watching the gfs cave closer and closer to the euro with each run is so sad but totally predictable. One of these years I’ll end up like southeast ridge posting from the north covered in beautiful snow throughout the winter.
