K... thanksDon’t use 911 services unless it’s an actual wreck emergency etc. they don’t care if it’s sticking and it wasn’t in the forecast etc.

Yes ripping fatties and a wounded sky is not a 911 issue.Guys, refrain from tying up emergency services to report your weather or how bad you think it’s getting. Keep it here thanks
We know better than to do that here.... You need to post that nonsense somewhere else.Don’t use 911 services unless it’s an actual wreck emergency etc. they don’t care if it’s sticking and it wasn’t in the forecast etc.
Wait no not yet, I've not had my 15 seconds of ip fameWelp, goodbye to this thread, hello march thread, It was fun while it lasted and it honestly did more than I thought it would here, .1 of snow/sleet is a W![]()
Well got my 10 minutes of sleet here in SE Wake. Nothing crazy. But was nice to hear those pingers pinging
Someday I’d love to be in a Legit sleet storm. Like the 3 inches of sleet type. I’ve Never really experienced any long duration sleet storm.
Anyway I hope the rest of you can see your 10 minutes of glory! Is it worth the week of tracking? Ehhh probably not. But it is a fun evening.
Now time to go enjoy the fire and one of winters last cozy nights!
I Enjoyed a sleet storm with the Jan 2016 winter storm, got 3.3 inches of mostly sleet
Epic! Not sure it would be as fun as watching snow but to see that much ice on the ground would be crazy. If it froze hard it could probably wreak havoc on the road systems for several days.
I seem to remember an early 2000 storm in Greenville NC that dropped several inches of snow then about an inch of sleet or freezing rain or both. As a kid I could almost stand on top of the stuff without falling through.
Don't call the police!Ripping Fatties

Looks like the RGEM had this one nailed... Nam was a complete fail...Just as a look back to compare the 3km NAM vs the RGEM for this event... I looked at their forecast about 36-40 hours out. Here’s what they showed for the same run 38 hours out.
3km NAM

I don't know that I saw any models with freezing at Durham. Some had it close, but not sure any had it there. Especially this early.Snow/Sleet mix in Durham 32 on the van.
