Hello GFS.. and it's still snowing in Central NC during this frame
Those look like 10:1 ratios, probably can add 15-20% to that over parts of NC
Doofy is going to be pound town in NC. Welcome to the club, it took long enough.
Believe me I am not trying to poo poo your party, but what is causing that, it seems like an outlier???

Causing what? GFS is the last model to finally trend wetter. It was an outlier before

Totals keep going up as we get closer. What a nice change from the usual.
The highest possible impact was always going to be NC with this one. It might be too low in GA but GA always was going to see light amounts.
This belongs in banter I know, but funny how all of us cuss the GFS and then it shows a ridiculous amount and it is the all knowing...

Hey Eric you can answer this. Is the algorithm for Kuchera snow maps messing up. I noticed it always looks less than the regular 10:1. I feel like we should average around 14:1
Well well out of nowhere band shows up and now we are sitting under a nice little snow shower. Big fat flakes falling hard too!
I don't think that is whats happening. GFS has trended towards the other models which validates them. We're getting a consensus finally..
I’m learning that not even radar is the best indicator of snow with this event. The snow is dry and fine, so it doesn’t show up with as heavy of a return on radar.
