I love how none of us would likely consider the ICON if it weren't the first run of the 00z suite. It's not a great model.

It's a good thing the icon doesn't go past 180 that interaction at 500mb would have likely resulted in something we would never unsee

Long ways to go! If that phase were to happen earlier it would crush everyone. Everything still on the table but yeah I’d rather be in the Carolinas
The upper level energy coming south would have probably brought at least some light snow even back your way. It's not impossible to wonder as went SSW there would have been some tugging to the sfc low back to the west. Crazy to think about but the inital wave isn't the dominant one there
