A winter weather advisory is about to be issued for the GA counties. Some counties may end up getting a winter storm watch. Trying to find out right now.

Looks like the majority of the snowfall will occur to the North of ATL metro, per NAM. Waiting for 3-KM.

Is it still a possibility that North AL may creep in on any measureable snow? Seems like most of the maps I've seen you guys post lately shows the snow filling in up this way

Etowah finally getting pulled in.....things just became more interesting for me.
I would take half of what the NAM is showing and call it a winter.

Winter Weather Advisory just raised for N and North Central Georgia.
Stating the obvious, but NAM is overjuiced re: pure output accumulation numbers. BUT, the key to me so far is seeing how much moisture is working its way north. There are plenty of cases where warmth right at surface can be overcome by rates.
This is going to be fascinating to watch and has been a nightmare to forecast, LOL.

18z NAM with a big Northern shift!
I would gladly take a 15:1 ratio.If only it was a 10:1 ratio that 7 is siting on top of my house
I still say if 6-8" fall more than an inch or two will accumulate.

Climo typically favors the Northern fifth of GA so not surprised to see the NAM take a large shift north/Northwest. All I know this won't be my storm.
