NAM actually better for my area in terms of totals, would like to see those 850s trend colder though.

This is starting to remind me of the Dec 97 snow where MS and AL got clobbered with snow and then it fizzled out near the GA border.

I'm just excited to see possible snow At hour 45 for my area, even if it will only be a few flakes probably on the tail end of the precipitation

It goes to hour 60 you posted through 27Nam 3km precip didnt stop, thats the end of run
Just a warning. The NAM is limiting snow falling due to a very small warm layer from around 950mb to the surface. So take the maps with a grain of salt because the model wants to keep going back and forth. A couple of degrees lower at the surface and snow maps would blossom much more. Over an inch of QPF falls from line around Calera through northern Clay County with it approaching an inch and a half around Montgomery. Taking the NAM's wet bias into account thar probably give a half an inch to an inch of QPF across this area.
