Screw putin and Russia. They are bombing bomb shelters with the words "children" clearly written outside. They are war criminals and murderers and thugs. They have kidnapped and removed thousands of ukranians only to send them who knows where. The world is watching as Putin tries to become another hitler (not to dismiss the scope and severity of the holocaust which was horrendous) but he is exterminating women and children.

Would've been great if they came out and saw the backend of their BMD-2 down road being towed by a John Deere lol

 
Nothing justifies what Putin's Russia has done but this would be an argument they would use, that they were attacking military positions and not another civ site....

There is no doubt the Ukrainian military is parking equipment under and behind stuff like this to try and keep it out of view....the have limited options really. Russia has the ability to not to choose to strike civilian structures if supply trucks are there....but by putting those trucks there Ukraine makes this a legit military target as well.
 
The question is where do you park military vehicles? A shopping center seems like a good choice to me. Shopping Center did not look busy. Russia might be using drone to spy/locate. No way they can keep the vehicles in military bases.
 
I would also assume the possibility at least that Ukraine was using the children's shelter for some sort of military reason. Again, if true both sides are to blame.

But here is some evidence of the military value of the mall.

Russia is going to bomb everything including civilians. They want Ukraine to surrender as quickly as possible so they will be very brutal and keep escalating. Russia is concerned about Europe and the meetings coming up.
