Interesting Putin is sending out the “weak men in his eyes” (kids, 18, those who are surrendering) to die first. Makes you wonder if he’s holding back those who want to fight. And maybe holding back the bigger weapons too.
There isn't any. Russia has already sent their Special Forces and Chechen Fighters. This is it. This is the reality of obligated service without some sort of motivating factor. These 18yr olds are serving because they were told to, not because Pearl Harbor was bombed or the Twin Towers were brought down. This is a different dynamic than many in the United States understand. This is why Russia's military, outside of it's nuclear capabilities, is the ultimate paper tiger at this point.

China says no to sanctioning Russia. Let this sink in people......Don't act surprised down the road when this even bigger, more powerful and way more capable "problem" rears its head
That is not so surprising, they want to Russia to participate in CIPs. They're also the ones advocating, and even volunteering to help mediate, for a ceasefire.

China will protect China's interests over anything else. I don't trust them as far as I can see them, but China's interest is and always will financial first.

I picked up a Gulfstream 550 landing in Poland last night registered to DOJ. Appeared to have departed from Washington DC.

Unconfirmed reports of a Russian rocket/missile hitting at/near Kyiv railway station. I'm guessing this is where everyone was hunkered down and trying to flee from?

Consistent with Russian doctrine in relation to escalation and what I think is one of Putin’s primary objectives here, pushing NATO up to the brink of Article 5. Sweden is not a NATO member.

I think we need to remind them we are the only crazy mofoes to use nukes in war.

Any major updates today? Been pretty busy today so haven't had much time to look at things.

NBC News reporting the figure. For context, the Soviets lost about 14K in Afghan War.

Wow. Reading all the posts here and the social media you'd think the Ukrainians were winning. Somehow I do not believe that is the reality of the situation nor the future
This is what Ukraine is doing though. Ukraine is whooping a lot of Russian butts download (6).jpeg

Yeah, I think the issue is we see all the videos of Russian stuff getting blown up, but aren’t seeing the same videos of Ukrainian casualties, for obvious reasons. It’s an information war and we’re getting the Ukrainian side’s.

Russia has lost a lot of soldiers, though, undoubtedly. I suspect the same is true of Ukraine, however. Modern warfare is bloody and quick, and nothing in recent history really compares well with this war.

They have been preparing for this since Crimea, OSINT supports Ukrainians significantly over performing and in some cases executing counter attacks to take back territory. US and partners are providing 2-3 javelins for every piece of transport Putin wants to send across the boarder.

This needs context. Even US intel is suggesting that Ukraine is inflicting heavy casualties. I’m not so sure that Ukraine has to come out on top in a head to head conventional war with Russia for it to be considered a Ukrainian victory. If they can hold on long enough for a ceasefire, that’s a much more desirable ending than many of us considered at this point last week.

I dunno, I think the Ukrainians are losing equipment but the reality is they are winning big, and have lost a lot less than the Russians, at least up to this point, though I suspect Ukrainian dead are probably 2-3k including civilians.....they are fighting a different fight, half the time they are riding around in cars with a trunk full of NLAW's and Javelins. Most of the places they have held for the Ukrainian forces are around major cities they have well dug in positions and are not fighting tank to tank but rather using ATM teams to harass the Russia rear and to clog up supply lines......going off road right now is not a good idea, the ground there in the spring becomes impassable for tracked and heavy vehicles.....ironically this is what has saved Russia many times, funny to see them fall into the same trap.....

This is top end primo Russian equipment here being abandoned, its mind blowing their crews just walked away without at least fragging the the thing....the Russians do not want this stuff falling into Ukrainian hands.

Unconfirmed Russian Marines about to depart amphibious ships to take IVO Odessa balked and did not move onshore. Again, not confirmed but in the NEST pending verification.

This is not the ship seen burning off Odessa this boat was hit in port, not sure which side missile it was....this is several miles north of Odessa and the ship was anchored in the river there.....
