Of course. Art of warDamn, that’s far from the border in the SW part of the country, too. Looks like they’re trying to destroy all the airfields and ground Ukraine’s air forces.
I am sure all the oligarchs that support Putin who are being sanctioned into the ground just love this......this is why sanctions will work if done brutally and by all accounts that is what is going to happen. This is why this is lose lose for Putin, even if he takes and installs a puppet regime he wont be able to keep forces there and as soon as he leaves the people will just bounce them out of power and return Ukraine right back to where it is now and demand to be part of NATO to stop this from happening again. Along with all the other nations there that want NATO membership for protection against Russia.
They have thrown their share of punches but it’s still early. There seems to be quite a bit of talk about Ukrainian forces doing better than expected in several areas and they have actually stopped or at least blunted some of the Russian attacks and possibly even given the Russians heavy losses in those fights. Its hard to really parse out the propaganda on twitter.
Sanctions of any kind will do little if anything. Russians are used to sanctions. Putin attacked now because the world is weakened, mainly the United States. Not a political post just a fact. Taiwan is staring at its likely future as well. China is where you had best keep your eyes trained......at this stage, I would like to see...
a total ban on all imports/exports to/from Russia, no travel to/from Russia, no financial transactions/exchanges, all Russian internet connectivity blocked to domestically based/controlled networks. basically, replicate what we have in place for North Korea. and then after the Russian populace has removed Putin, we lift sanctions in exchange for war reparations and Ukranian membership in NATO.
I’ve been out of the military equipment loop for a long time, but all I’ve seen is a pile of antiquated equipment. Is this what Russian forces are for the most part?
Seeing some tweets on destroyed tanks but won't repost it because if dead bodies. Looks as though they've had some moderate success in that arenaThey have thrown their share of punches but it’s still early.
