Curious how well Ukraine military holds up here. They have to know they are ------.

Absolutely, going to be the urban war and resistance afterwards with Russia trying to occupy

Russia has had tens of thousands of troops in Belarus for weeks now, so I don’t think it’s a huge surprise. Hasn’t heard much discussion of their troops joining in, though. I’m not sure their military is much to write home about, though.
 
Belarus is a member of CSTO, Russia's smaller version of NATO. They also are hosting 30,000 Russian troops for the attack. Russia has been holding joint military exercises with Belarus since the last Belarusian election protests. I'm actually not surprised they're helping Russia with the invasion.
 
Now would be a good time for the west to start a propaganda war. If the war was as unpopular in Russia as it sounded we should be egging the Russian population to rise up at home since putin and his goons are to busy in Ukraine. Divide the house.

Cruise missiles are tough to kill anyways....Russia is going to be able to put them where ever they want....and the Ukrainians will save their missiles for Russian aircraft and helicopters.
 
at this stage, I would like to see...
a total ban on all imports/exports to/from Russia, no travel to/from Russia, no financial transactions/exchanges, all Russian internet connectivity blocked to domestically based/controlled networks. basically, replicate what we have in place for North Korea. and then after the Russian populace has removed Putin, we lift sanctions in exchange for war reparations and Ukranian membership in NATO.

I am at work so I get to follow along all night.....really it will be how the Ukrainians deal with Russia armor that decides how this goes.....the Ukrainians need to fight guerilla style with small units versus big set battles.....they really need to get good results with all those Javelins and other anti tank stuff they have.

AS for shooting down jets there is this totally unconfirmed video showing at least one said aircraft......I would believe the Ukrainians over the Russians all day long though.

Actually that looks a little to green to be winter huh
