You got to feel bad for these guys, apparently this is happening on a pretty large scale.....with hundreds of Russians surrendering just so they don't starve and freeze to death.
And with Ukraine feeding the Russian soldiers that were captured and/or surrendered, the supply line issues and aid drops become even more important.

Man your opinion/discussion is as valid as anything i have to say. I would be much more open to the idea of Putin standing for war crimes if he were defeated, ousted from power, and detained by an international force. But I don't see any of that as likely at the moment. I'm not trying to argue that he shouldn't be or that what he's doing is right. But I just don't see him being captured, ousted by his own people, or turning himself in at the moment. And certainly, the west isn't prepared to go in and get him, which is wise.
Im against international courts of justice. If the Russian people decide to bring Putin to justice thats great. Going back to ww2 I thought the Nuremberg trials were wrong. Yes, Nazi's did horrible things and they deserved execution in many cases but i think individual govts should have done the prosecutions which happened in some cases. One thing appropriate from WW2 to today. We and the Brits deliberately targeted civilians in Japan and Germany. We killed millions. Some would argue those were crimes against humanity and some should have been hung. And dont even get me started on Russian WW2 war crimes but the victors decided who were going to be prosecuted. Again, i think prosecution of crimes should be handled by individual countries..

I dont know how much longer the war will last but i still think the major cities should be declared "Open Cities". It would save the lives of countless civilians while the Ukrainian military can keep on fighting.

How would you even go about doing it....firstly the Ukrainians do not want and will not allow Russians in their cities unopposed, there is no way to prevent citizens from attacking Russians......and Putin has shown he doesnt gives two ----- about bombing civilians. Open cities only work if all parties agree that is what they want and none here do.

The French did it with Paris when the Germans invaded in 1940, and is one of the main reasons the city is so intact today. I agree it might be hard in this case, though, and fighting in the cities is Ukraine's best chance to win this war.

I think after a long encirclement of Kyiv this may occur. Right now I'm pretty sure the Russians are allowing as many to flee the city as want too which is why they have not closed off the west corridor. However they also want to control how many weapons are going in which is why you see these bombings out west in those towns along the route I think.

West is no longer a option. Only south now.

I mean I feel like it’s more of a fact almost everyone has banned Russian flights in their countries. Who knows lol

I believe this right here. Just reading between the lines, it seems as if NATO/EUROPE are preparing for an eventual shooting war. My assumption is that if that is the case they are acting on intel.

Enerhodar is the last small city before major Zhaporiyia and Dnipro. After that they would have almost complete control, except for Kyiv, West of the Dniepr river.
