Oil prices continue to drop rather quickly, might even get under $100 a barrel today....of course those prices that went up by 20-40 cent a day will somehow not come back down at the same rate....the local station by my house was down a whole .02 cent this morning :rolleyes:

News like this will hopefully continue this trend

I hope it's true but I have a hard time believing that Putin will walk away without achieving his stated goals.

I mean I doubt either of them would ever admit it if it were true.....either way its a brilliant "story" to leak on our governments part.....really its about Russia fussing about Ukraine getting help like MIG-29's all the while bringing in troops from Syria, Chechnya etc, if Russia did ask for Chinese weapons and got them then how is that different than Poland giving Ukraine MIG's....I suspect there is a lot of truth to the story, and I think China probably is helping on some smaller scale stuff. This is us letting them know we know.

To expand a bit on this, apparently Ukraine does have biolabs funded by the US and EU regarding pathogen research. The stated reason for these labs is to help fight the threat of dangerous diseases. Ukraine is one of several countries with these biolabs.

After Russia began invading, the WHO urged Ukraine to take steps and to destroy some of this research to prevent any potential escape of disease causing pathogens. It appears Ukraine did not do this. Perhaps they were busy with war? Perhaps incompetence? Maybe they thought doing so would make them look guilty of covering something up? I'm sure a case could be made for any of these reasons.

In the meantime, Russia has accused Ukraine of using these labs to begin developing biological weapons. (which some call a type of WMD) Western nations are adamant that this is a false flag. Personally I feel Russia is lying their pants off (while also pulling a page from the US playbook of 20 years ago), but others would disagree and even cite that same playbook back as a reason NOT to trust the US.

Either way, the situation is a sort of litmus test. No matter who you trust or distrust more, you have all the ingredients to be further reinforced by these factors.

Considering all the lies and mis-information about what actually went on in Wuhan i wouldnt trust anything any govt says about the labs in Ukraine. If they are conducting the same type of research as in Wuhan then in my opinion that is criminal conduct.

My guess is a peace deal will be Russia gets the 2 eastern provinces and Ukraine will not be in NATO. If thats the case then both sides got alot of people dead for nothing.

Ukraine has no reason to give any territory, they are making Russia look a fool on the global stage...Putin is done, he will be lucky to survive this and not just politically but literally. Zelensky has all the cards IMO, Ukraine has taken Russia's best shot and stuck it right up their tail.....

Below is the part I could see Zelensky giving up to try and save lives, just the part in red not the entirety of the two provinces...and then they would not be Russian but rather independent though obviously Russian puppet states like Belarus etc.....where a Ukraine funded insurgency would take hold...

AKA getting clown stomped....that is just massive losses, not to mentions 10's of billions of dollars of lost hardware and equipment. Russia just showed the world they have a joke of a military, and Zelensky just needs to hold on a few more weeks and Putin will either be deposed, dead or forced to retreat. The fact you do not see a lot of push to bring more Russian armies online tells me that maybe Putin has lost his generals. They are not going to send more young Russian men to die in Putin's folly.
